1991 TOYOTA Hiace Ambulance 4wd Van

I know, I say this all the time, but I REALLY wanted to keep this beast. For those of you unfamiliar with this rare iteration of the Hiace, this is a coveted hi-roof long-wheelbase retired 4wd ambulance. The tallest and longest of the three Hiace variants during this era, it makes for the perfect platform for a DIY camper buildout. Powered by the 3L model 2.8 liter diesel engine, and manual transmission with 4wd hight and low range, this go-anywhere adventure mobile is off to its new life in Bend, Oregon.

Much love went into making this van 'road-trip-ready'. Consistent with all the vans we sell, she has received a full timing belt job and maintenance update: new timing belt, new idler and tensioner pulleys, new camshaft and crankshaft seal, new water pump, new thermostat, new radiator cap, coolant flush, transmission fluid, fresh motor oil and filter, all new drive belts, new fuel filter, new air filter, fresh differential oil. On top of all that, she has brand new all-terrain tires and modest suspension lift. Many other smaller repairs and upgrades were made during the inspection and testing process, including all new coolant/heater hoses, and a custom diesel cabin heater install.
