1994 TOYOTA Hiace Hi-Top 4wd Camper Van

Here is a set of preliminary photos of the 1994 TOYOTA Hiace Hi-Top / Pop-Top 4wd Camper Van we have in the works. Keep in mind these are preliminary photos, so please reference the sold section of our website for images of what the final product will look like. Here are a couple HiAce Hi-Tops we recently customized and sold:

We sold a model just like it, only 2wd last year. Here that is:

This HiAce has Toyota’s 3L model 2.8 liter diesel engine, with automatic transmission, aftermarket turbo kit, and high/low range 4wd. It clocks a low 62,000 original miles, which is really only getting started for Toyota's 3L, known to exceed 500,000 miles before a rebuild is required.

This Hiace, the longest of it’s generation, was converted into a hi-top camper in Japan in the early 1990's.

The exterior cosmetic condition is fair, with minor dents, and small areas of rust throughout (see pictures). The camper interior is also a little rough, and in need of general renovation. You will have a couple options depending on how extensive of a restoration you’re looking for. Please see the last paragraph for pricing details.

Consistent with all the vans we sell, it will receive a full timing belt job and maintenance update: new timing belt, new idler and tensioner pulleys, new camshaft and crankshaft seal, new water pump, new thermostat, new radiator cap, coolant flush, transmission fluid, fresh motor oil and filter, all new drive belts, new fuel filter, new air filter, fresh front and rear differential oil, fresh transfer case oil. On top of all that, she'll get brand new all-terrain tires, a modest suspension lift, all new fuel lines, and all new coolant hoses. The van will also receive a full inspection, and any other incidental repairs will be made prior to the final sale release. Just before the final transfer, it will receive a full detail, inside and out.

A large part of what you gain when purchasing your vehicle from Vanlife Northwest is our knowledge base and experience throughout the life of your adventure mobile. I can confidently say no one in the US has more experience with these vans, and solutions for problems gleaned only from that first hand experience.

Pricing- For all the following options, we do not intend to address any of the interior camper components (bed, bench, table, closet, sink, refrigerator, flooring, cabinets). The camper interior will be sold as-is, and will be best suited for someone looking for a large, mechanically overhauled Hiace for their own custom camper buildout. Option 1: We spot-fix the body (paint & rust repair), and perform all the above listed mechanical overhaul work, selling the van for $25,000. Option 2: We perform all the above listed mechanical overhaul work, but sell the van exterior cosmetically as-is for $20,000.

Let me know if you are interested, and please feel free to call me with any questions, and to secure the van.
