1999 TOYOTA Hiace Hi-Roof 4wd Camper Van
1999 TOYOTA HIACE Hi-ROOF 4wd CampervAN
Here is a set of preliminary photos of the 1999 Toyota HiAce Hi-Roof 4wd campervan we have in the works. Keep in mind these are preliminary photos, so please reference the sold section of our website for images of what the final product will look like.
This HiAce has the 1KZ 3.0 liter turbo diesel engine, with automatic transmission, and full time 4wd. It clocks 108,000 original miles, which is really only getting started for Toyota's 1KZ model diesel engine, know to exceed 500,000 miles before a rebuild is required.
The van appears to be in good overall condition, with a clean undercarriage.
Interior standing height is roughly 5’3. The rear seating booth converts into a large bed. It appears that all components for the bed are included, but without having the van on hand, it is difficult to guarantee. There is a bench seat just behind the cab that has 2-3 belted seating positions. This seat has flip flopping cushions that all it to face forward, face backward, or lay flat to make a bed.
The floor of the camper is vinyl, and appears to have extra vinyl pieces cut and layed over the original vinyl, presumably for protection. We will likely remove these extra pieces.
We will replace the damaged and yellowing headlights.
There is some minor rust and cosmetic damage that could be repaired for an additional cost. Please see the last paragraphs for pricing and details.

A large part of what you gain when purchasing your vehicle from Vanlife Northwest is our knowledge base and experience throughout the life of your adventure mobile. I can confidently say no one in the US has more experience with these vans, and solutions for problems gleaned only from that first hand experience.
Price: $40,000.
Add a Webasto diesel parking heater for $1,700 parts and labor (NOTE: the van looks to already have a slightly older Webasto heater installed. Hopefully it is still fully functional. Generally the Webastos hold up well over time.)
Add a new Maxx Air roof vent fan for $500 labor plus the cost of the new vent/fan. (NOTE: the van already has a slightly older Maxx Air fan installed. Like the Webasto, hopefully is just works well and does not need replacement.)
Add rust repair and repaint to the lower right side panels for $2,000. (NOTE: the pictures show some body rust to the lower section of the body behind the drivers side front wheel. For the repair, we will cut out the rust and weld in a replacement panel. We will finish and paint the new panel to match.)
Add rust repair and repaint to the rear hatch door for $2,000. (NOTE: the pictures show some body rust and faded paint on the rear hatch door. For the repair, we will remove the rear window glass, repair the rust and repaint the outside of the door.)
Let me know if you are interested, and please feel free to call me with any questions, and to secure the van.
