1999 TOYOTA HIACE POP TOP Extended Wheelbase 4WD Camper VAN
Here is a set of preliminary photos of the 1999 Toyota HiAce pop top van we have in the works. Keep in mind these are preliminary photos, so please reference the sold section of our website for images of what the final product will look like.
This HiAce has the 1KZ 3.0 liter turbo diesel engine, automatic transmission, and full time 4wd. It clocks a very low 39,000 original miles, which is really only getting started for Toyota's 1KZ model diesel engine, know to exceed 500,000 miles before a rebuild is required.
The van appears to be in very good overall condition. It originally featured dual airbags, but the previous owner removed the driver’s airbag steering wheel and replaced it with an aftermarket racing wheel without an airbag. It may be possible to find a replacement airbag wheel, but this is something we cannot guarantee.
The van has some light body damage to the rear door and rear right corner. We have already repaired this damage. While doing so, we removed the damaged horizontal chrome bar, and the chrome license plate holder. The tailgate has a much cleaner look now.
We will replace the headlights and blinkers due to yellowing.
We will detail and buff the van.
We will repaint the bumpers black.
The camper appears to be mostly complete. The pop top is in good shape, and the bed for the upper bed is on a hinge, so it can be tilted up and out of the way when not in use. The lower section features 2 benches, which can face forward or backward, or lay down to make a bed. The rear of the van features a telescopic bathroom / shower room which extends upwards as you open the pop top. There is an existing and original camper electrical system which is unknown and not guaranteed.
Consistent with all the vans we sell, it will receive a full timing belt job and maintenance update: new timing belt, new idler and tensioner pulleys, new camshaft and crankshaft seal, new water pump, new thermostat, new radiator cap, coolant flush, all new coolant hoses, transmission fluid, fresh motor oil and filter, all new drive belts, new fuel filter, new air filter, fresh front and rear differential oil, fresh transfer case oil, new motor mounts, new alternator, and an engine computer service. On top of all that, she'll get brand new all-terrain tires, and a modest suspension lift. Most of our vans also receive a front brake and hub overhaul. Finally, the van will receive a full inspection, and any other incidental repairs will be made prior to the final sale release. Just before the final transfer, it will receive a full detail, inside and out.

PRICING: We will complete the full mechanical and cosmetic overhaul as listed above, but sell the internal camper bits and systems as-is, selling the van for $49,000. We can discuss camper repairs and upgrades to be done at an additional cost.
