This HiAce has the 1KZ 3.0 liter turbo diesel engine, with manual 5-speed transmission, and full time 4wd. It clocks a low 86,000 original miles, which is really only getting started for Toyota's 1KZ model diesel engine, know to exceed 500,000 miles before a rebuild is required.
This KZH116 model is unique in that is has the 1KZ turbo diesel, generally only available in the shortest wheelbase Hiace’s from this era, and the extended wheelbase of a Hiace Super GL, allowing it the best of both worlds- more powerful motor and extended cargo capacity.
The van appears to be in good overall condition. Notable damage includes an assortment of touchup paint marks all along the side(s) of the van, a dent on the bottom section of the side sliding door, a small (covered up) rust patch below the rear left side window, a torn drivers seat, a small rock chip in the windshield. See last paragraph for pricing options.
Consistent with all the vans we sell, it will receive a full timing belt job and maintenance update: new timing belt, new idler and tensioner pulleys, new camshaft and crankshaft seal, new water pump, new thermostat, new radiator cap, coolant flush, all new coolant carrying hoses, transmission fluid, fresh motor oil and filter, all new drive belts, new fuel filter, new air filter, fresh front and rear differential oil, fresh transfer case oil. On top of all that, she'll get brand new all-terrain tires, and a modest suspension lift. The van will also receive a full inspection, and any other incidental repairs will be made prior to the final sale release. Just before the final transfer, it will receive a full detail, inside and out.
A large part of what you gain when purchasing your vehicle from Vanlife Northwest is our knowledge base and experience throughout the life of your adventure mobile. Pricing: We complete all of our full mechanical overhaul work cited above, detail the van inside and out, and repaint the bumpers black, selling the van for $27,000. Add $1,000 to repair the dent to the sliding door, add $850 to repair the rust patch underneath the rear left window.
