This HiAce has the 1KZ 3.0 liter turbo diesel engine, with manual 5-speed transmission, and full time 4wd. It clocks a very low 32,000 original miles, which is really only getting started for Toyota's 1KZ model diesel engine, know to exceed 500,000 miles before a rebuild is required.
This KZH116 model is unique in that is has the 1KZ turbo diesel, generally only available in the shortest wheelbase Hiaces from this era, and the extended wheelbase of a Hiace Super GL, allowing it the best of both worlds- more powerful motor and extended cargo capacity.
The van appears to be in good condition. Notable issues include minor rust and body work. The rear door dents will be fixed, and the rear door will be repainted. There are a couple minor rust spots in the body we will spot repair. We will also repaint the wheels.
Consistent with all the vans we sell, it will receive a full timing belt job and maintenance update: new timing belt, new idler and tensioner pulleys, new camshaft and crankshaft seal, new water pump, new thermostat, new radiator cap, coolant flush, all new coolant carrying hoses, transmission fluid, fresh motor oil and filter, all new drive belts, new fuel filter, new air filter, fresh front and rear differential oil, fresh transfer case oil. On top of all that, she'll get brand new all-terrain tires, and a modest suspension lift. The van will also receive a full inspection, and any other incidental repairs will be made prior to the final sale release. Just before the final transfer, it will receive a full detail, inside and out.
A large part of what you gain when purchasing your vehicle from Vanlife Northwest is our knowledge base and experience throughout the life of your adventure mobile. I can confidently say no one in the US has more experience with these vans, and solutions for problems gleaned only from that first hand experience.
Price will be $23,000. Let me know if you are interested, and please feel free to call me with any questions, and to secure the van.
Please note: This is a February 1996 model. It is available for reservation now, but the soonest this van will be available for importation will be February 2021. Well worth the wait for this rare model in this clean low-mile condition.
